Job Vacancy: Procurement Manager

Ethiopian Petroleum Supply Enterprise is seeking a Procurement Manager to join their team at the Assosa location in Ethiopia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex procurement processes.

As a Procurement Manager at Ethiopian Petroleum Supply Enterprise, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services, developing procurement strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the organization’s goals and objectives
– Identify potential suppliers and conduct supplier evaluations to assess capabilities and performance
– Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to obtain favorable terms and pricing
– Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements
– Manage the procurement process from sourcing to contract award and supplier performance evaluation
– Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations
– Monitor market trends and changes in supply chain dynamics to inform procurement decisions
– Analyze procurement data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost savings

Required Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
– Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective supplier relationships
– Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Additional Skills:
– Knowledge of petroleum industry and related procurement practices preferred
– Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus
– Experience with contract management and risk assessment
– Familiarity with ERP systems and e-procurement platforms

Language Skills:
– Fluency in English (both verbal and written)
– Knowledge of Amharic or other local languages is an advantage

Salary: 30,000 ETB per month
