Addis Ababa City Administration Revenue Bureau is seeking a Tax Compliance Officer to join their team in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and optimizing revenue collection for the city administration.

As a Tax Compliance Officer at Addis Ababa City Administration Revenue Bureau, the candidate will be responsible for monitoring tax compliance, conducting audits, and providing guidance to taxpayers to ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct tax audits and reviews of taxpayer records to assess compliance with tax laws and regulations.
– Identify instances of non-compliance, tax evasion, or fraud, and take appropriate enforcement actions.
– Provide guidance and assistance to taxpayers on tax matters, including registration, filing, and payment obligations.
– Respond to inquiries and requests for information from taxpayers, tax professionals, and other stakeholders.
– Collaborate with other departments within the Revenue Bureau to implement tax policies and initiatives.
– Develop and maintain databases and systems to track taxpayer information, audit findings, and enforcement actions.
– Prepare reports and presentations on tax compliance activities, trends, and outcomes for management and stakeholders.
– Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry practices to ensure accurate and timely compliance.

Required Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
– Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax regulations.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with taxpayers and stakeholders.
– Attention to detail and accuracy in auditing and reviewing taxpayer records.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and tax software.

Additional Skills:
– Experience in tax auditing, accounting, or related fields.
– Familiarity with tax preparation software and electronic filing systems.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
– Fluency in English and Amharic (both verbal and written).

Salary: 25,000 ETB per month
