Position and Educational Level

Amrogn Chicken Restaurant is seeking dynamic and motivated individuals for the position of Waiter/Waitress.

Educational Level
– High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Job Description
The Waiter/Waitress at Amrogn Chicken Restaurant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience for guests. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the dining area.

Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service:
– Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
– Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.
– Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
– Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
– Provide menu recommendations and upsell additional items when appropriate.

2. Order Management:
– Ensure orders are delivered to the correct customers in a timely manner.
– Monitor tables to ensure guests have a satisfactory dining experience.
– Clear and reset tables after customers leave.
– Assist with packing takeaway orders and ensuring accuracy.

3. Cleanliness and Maintenance:
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors.
– Ensure that all service areas are stocked with necessary supplies such as utensils, napkins, and condiments.
– Follow health and safety regulations in food handling and sanitation.

4. Team Collaboration:
– Work closely with kitchen staff and other restaurant employees to ensure efficient service.
– Communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen team.
– Assist colleagues during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.

Skills and Requirements
– Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills in both Amharic and English.
– Customer Service Orientation: A friendly and approachable demeanor with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
– Multitasking Ability: Capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
– Attention to Detail: Accuracy in taking orders and delivering them correctly.
– Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team and support colleagues as needed.
– Problem-Solving: Ability to address customer complaints and find solutions quickly and effectively.

Additional Skills and Attributes
– Language Skills: Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
– Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
– Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays.
– Punctuality and Reliability: Dependable with a strong work ethic and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
